Santa Clara County,
Office
of the District Attorney.
As I mentioned in my previous email, I was
illegally ticketed for fare evasion by a
VTA Fare inspector because of a
failure on VTA's part to
comply with the California Business & Professions Code
regarding false & misleading advertising.
I am requesting that the
District
Attorneys office apply its leverage bring
VTA into compliance with the law, &
to please contact the traffic court, and
request for them to dismiss this citation against me. I was
ticketed for possessing A VTA Token ( not a day pass ) on board a
light rail train, and told a Token is not valid fare, even though
the sign that VTA
has posted on every train ( see attached photo )
clearly indicates ( regardless of their actual
policy
) That a VTA Token or
Cash are as valid as a VTA pass
and as such Must be accepted as valid
proof of fare aboard VTA Light Rail trains.
