Santa Clara County,
Office of the District Attorney.

As I mentioned in my previous email, I was illegally ticketed for fare evasion by a VTA Fare inspector because of a failure on VTA's part to comply with the California Business & Professions Code regarding false & misleading advertising.
I am requesting that the District Attorneys office apply its leverage bring VTA into compliance with the law, & to please contact the traffic court, and request for them  to dismiss this citation against me.  I was ticketed for possessing A VTA Token ( not a day pass ) on board a light rail train, and told a Token is not valid fare, even though the sign that VTA has posted on every train ( see attached photo ) clearly indicates ( regardless of their actual policy ) That a VTA Token or Cash are as valid asVTA pass and as such Must be accepted as valid proof of fare aboard VTA Light Rail trains.

( Court Case # 3-08-TR-350272 )

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Sincerely:
Cary Andrew Crittenden

This picture clearly indicates that A Token, VTA Pass, or Cash is valid fare for being on board a VTA Lightrail Train.

Actual VTA policy requires redeeming the token for a pass before boarding the train.
This sign clearly indicates that a token is valid fare while on board.
